The Iraqi government has assigned Prime Minister Haidar al Abadi to take necessary measures in response to the Turkish violation of Iraq's border.
The government also voiced support for a decision by the country's national security council, giving Turkey 48 hours to withdraw its troops from Iraq.
The deadline ends Tuesday night.
Iraq's national sovereignty is a read line and the government will not tolerate such breaches, the government stressed.
The Iraqi government has not signed any agreement allowing Turkey to cross the border into Iraq under any pretext, it said.
The Iraqi Cabinet reiterated calls for Turkey to pull out its troops, stressing Baghdad's right to take measures to maintain its sovereignty.
