Seven Iraqis, including five policemen, were killed while 15 others were injured in a terror attack that targeted Al Qadisiyah district of Najaf Governorate, Najaf security directorate said on Sunday.
In a press release, the directorate said that the injured were moved to hospital for medical treatment.
In exclusive statements to MENA, Spokesman for Baghdad Operations Command Brigadier General Saad Moen said that Iraqi security forces repelled a terror attack that aimed to breakthrough a checkpoint in Al Qadisiyah district.
Three terrorists riding a booby-trapped car tried to blow the car up at the checkpoint, Moen said, adding that security forces foiled the terror attack.
