Iraqi forces thwarted several terrorist attacks launched by Daesh militants on the outskirts of Mosul, Commander of Nineveh Liberation Operation Lieutenant General Abdul Amir Yarallah said on Wednesday.
The attacks, which targeted a military site in Baoizh district within the northern axis of Mosul, resulted in killing 52 Daesh militants, Yarallah added.
Also, the Iraqi troops, backed by the US-led coalition aircraft, destroyed five booby-trapped cars, a bulldozer and shot dead more than 40 Daesh terrorists in the ongoing battles in different axes of Mosul, according to Yarallah.
