At least 31 civilians were killed and wounded in an attack on a wedding party in the town of Ayn Tamer in Karbala province in central Iraq.
Middle Euphrates Operations Command announced in a statement Monday that five suicide bombers wearing explosive belts tried to infiltrate a wedding in Ayn al-Tamer in the western province of Karbala late Sunday.
The statement added that one of the suicide bombers blew himself up in the wedding, killing 15 people and injuring 16 others.
Security forces killed the four remaining suicide bombers and imposed strict measures in case of any emergency.
