The Iraqi jets killed 29 members of Daesh terrorist group in two airstrikes in Western Anbar province on Sunday.
In a press release Sunday, an intelligence cell at the Iraqi interior ministry said that the first airstrike targeted a Daesh site in the town of Al Qaim near the border with Syria, which killed 16 Daesh members.
The second airstrike hit an exercise of Daesh fighters in Rawah town north of Anbar, which killed 13 Daesh members.
Gruesome violence has plagued the northern and western parts of Iraq ever since Daesh group launched an offensive in the country in June 2014, and took control of portions of Iraqi territory.
