As many as 130 Daesh militants were killed in airstrikes launched by the Iraqi warplanes in Ramadi city in western Iraq, Spokesman for the Iraqi Defense Ministry Nosir Nouri said in a statement on Thursday.
70 out of 130 Daesh fighters were slain in air raids on a fertilizer factory in Ramadi city, Nouri added.
Also, the 60 other Daesh insurgents were killed, 14 car bombs detonated, eight Daesh hotbeds were destroyed in the air strikes, he asserted.
The Iraqi joint forces have launched military operations on Monday to purge Anbar province of Daesh fighters, Spokesman for the Joint Operations Command, Brigadier General Yahya Rasoul Abdullah said.
