Ten Daesh terrorists were killed in a shelling against two explosives labs in western Mosul, an Iraqi police officer said on Saturday.
Zeyad al Jabri said Iraqi police forces intensively shelled Daesh posts in Old Mosul, according to Al Arabiya news channel.
The ninth armored squad deputy commander said there is a fierce resistance from Daesh in northwestern Mosul, although attacks against Iraqi forces receded.
Walid Khalid said the forces also managed to secure safe passages for evacuees.
He added that Iraqi forces backed by the international coalition managed to restore large parts of western Mosul from Daesh.
