A senior leader of the Afghan Taliban group has been shot dead by unknown gunmen in Balochistan province of Pakistan, Khamaa Press reported Friday.
According to the local media reports in Pakistan, the senior Taliban leader, Mawlawi Mohammad Alam, was shot dead by gunmen close to Quetta, the provincial capital of Balochistan.
The incident took place on Thursday evening in Kuchlak area located around 25 kilometres from the provincial capital.
Mawlawi Alam was a senior leader of the Taliban group and was a loyal commander to the newly-appointed Taliban supreme leader Mullah Akhtar Mansoor.
