Two people including a Frontier Corps (FC) officer were killed on Wednesday in a firing incident in northern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan, said officials.Accordingtoaseniorpoliceofficial,thetwovictimssustained severe injuries when they came under a militant attack within the remit of the Hoyad Police Station in Janikhel. The two were immediately taken to District Headquarters Hospital in "critical condition, where they succumbed to their injuries." The security forces immediately cordoned off the area after the incident and carried a search operation, but the militants escaped the scene unharmed on motorbikes.
