A senior Pakistan Army official along with three others were killed in a militant attack near northern Peshawar city of Pakistan on Tuesday, said officials. The media wing of Pakistan military Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) in a statement said that militants attacked an Army vehicle killing a Major of Pakistan army. The statement further said, "(The) exchange of fire continues," adding that three militants were also killed in an exchange of fire between security forces and militants. The attack came on the day when the government committee formed for holding peace talks with Tehreek e Taliban Pakistan (TTP) have demanded a ceasefire by the militants to further carry on the peace dialogue process.
