At least four people including three policemen were killed in an attack by unknown militants targeting police check post on Monday in northern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province of Pakistan, said officials.
A senior police official, SHO Khanullah confirmed the death of three cops and a 15-year-old boy in the attack by unidentified gunmen in Qazi pump area of Hangu district in KPK. Another police official, DPO Anwar Saeed Kundi said, "At least four militants riding a car stopped at a police check post and three of them opened fire killing three policemen and a passer-by." The security forces immediately cordoned off the area and a search operation went underway for the culprits.
