Three people were killed and two others were injured in violence in different parts of Karachi on Saturday. According to Pakistan's (Dunya) news, some unidentified persons opened fire in Godhra area of New Karachi, killing one person and injuring another. Meanwhile, a police official who was injured in firing incident in Pak Colony two days ago succumbed to his injuries while a man was shot dead in firing incident in Landhi No 6. Meanwhile, a doctor of World Health Organisation (WHO) was gunned down in Godap Town area on Friday. Police said unidentified gunmen riding a motorbike shot Doctor Ishaq, 38, who was standing outside Sana Clinic located in Godap Town. The assailants managed to flee while the victim was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where doctors pronounced him dead, according to Dunya. It was the second attack on the medical staffers associated with the anti-polio drive in Karachi. A WHO doctor narrowly escaped an attack on him two days ago in the same locality where it is believed outlawed TTP has influence.
