Deputy spokesman of the ministry Dawlat Waziri also confirmed to reporters that all the dead and wounded were Afghan National Army (ANA) officers. The injured were evacuated to hospital and are said to be in stable condition, he added. The ANA commander, Gen. Qadam Shah Shaheen told reporters that "the ill-fated bus carried 20 people including seven ANA officers." Furthermore, Afghan President Hamid Karzai on Monday denounced the bombing as an inhuman and un-Islamic act. He claimed that Afghanistan's enemies would never succeed in busting the morale of its security forces.
