Vanilla Ice has been released from a Palm Beach County jail and charged with burglary following his arrest on Wednesday for breaking into a house and stealing a number of goods.
The rapper -- whose real name is Robert Van Winkle -- was released on a $6,000 bond Wednesday night, hours after he was arrested when officers found stolen goods in a property that belonged to him. The items -- including a pool heater, patio chairs, a sofa, two bicycles, a mirror and an iron table -- belonged to the house next door to the property the singer has been remodeling for his home renovation reality show, The Vanilla Ice Project.
Upon being released, Van Winkle said the situation was a "misunderstanding" that was "blown out of proportion." TMZ also quotes him as saying he believed some of the items were up for grabs because he found them on the curb.
"It'll all get cleared up, you'll see," Van Winkle told reporters as he left jail.
Police documents also state the rapper lied to police about owning the home the stolen items belonged to. If convicted, he could face jail time.
