Actor and comedian Patton Oswalt will be the host of this year's 39th annual Annie Awards show at UCLA's Royce Hall, organizers said. The Feb. 4 event will celebrate the best in animation for 2011. "The Annies are where the real weirdos hang, and it's a visual feast just to have a drink with them," Oswalt said in a statement Monday. "I can't wait." "Patton's comedic talent, audacious humor and love for animation will bring great energy and visibility, not to mention fun, to this year's ceremony,'' ASIFA-Hollywood President Frank Gladstone said. "We are extremely excited to have him aboard." Oswalt provided the voice for Remy the rat in Pixar's Oscar-winning movie "Ratatouille." His live-action film credits include "Young Adult," "Magnolia," "Big Fan," "Starsky and Hutch" and "The Informant."
