Nikki Reed adopts baby rat

 Twilight star Nikki Reed is adding a baby rat to her animal collection.
The 26-her-old actress opened up about her beloved pets while speaking to People magazine at the launch of the new shopping app, Spring.
"I'm on my way to pick up my new baby rat. I'm animal obsessed! I basically have a farm in my house," the actress said at the event, adding that, in a way, she'll be saving the animal, "because if not, they would get fed to a snake or something," she added.
As for her home "farm," Reed said she currently owns, "two horses, my two German shepherds, my mom's dog, and then I sort of adopted another three dogs."
"Animals are my life. My mom and I built a guest house on my property so that my mom could help me fostering animals. I do multiple fosters a month," she explains. "Sometimes I get a litter of nine puppies and put them in a nursery I created. And in the backyard, I also have an outdoor setup that's actually enclosed so the hawks can't get to it."
Aditionally, the actress has designed a limited-edition Found My Animal leash and collar (available on Gilt) in honor of Adopt-A-Shelter-Dog Month (October). One hundred percent of the proceeds will be donated to the ASPCA.
