Moroccan pop star Saad Lamjarred was seen in France with his family and friends shortly after his release from prison.
A video posted online showed Lamjarred dancing to the music of a band playing in the street.
Lamjarred took to Facebook to voice how happy he was of being back with his family and friends and thanked his fans for their support.
“Thank God for everything. I cannot describe how happy I am to be back with my father, mother, family, friends and precious and loyal fans that stood with me all the way. Forgive me for what I’ve put you through.. I thank my fellow artists who lived every painful moment with my parents.. My motto is as always, God, the homeland and the king,” Lamjarred wrote.
Lamjarred was released from prison in France last week under electronic surveillance, as he will not be allowed to travel. He was arrested on charges of raping a French girl in the capital Paris, four months ago.
