Laura Ingraham called out Ariana Grande for the pop star's donut-licking incident Thursday.
The 52-year-old conservative TV host slammed the 22-year-old singer during an appearance on Fox & Friends. Grande came under fire this week after she was seen licking and spitting on donuts and declaring she "hates America" in the shop's security camera footage.
"Another spoiled, entitled pop princess who's benefited so lucratively from being in this country, being an American," Ingraham declared. "And yet when she doesn't think anyone's listening, she hates America. They're all fat. They're stupid. They don't eat organic."
Ingraham mistakenly assumed Grande is of Latin American descent, and called the singer "estupida" for the incident. "The last time I checked, those poor people who like to buy donuts also bought a lot of your stupid music. So maybe you should return that money," she said.
Grande, who was born in Boca Raton, Fla., and is of Italian heritage, apologized in a statement after the footage surfaced, and released a second apology in a video Thursday. The pop star said she made a mistake and has learned from the experience.
"I was so disgusted with myself," she shared. "I apologize for my poor choice of words and for my behavior. Seeing how ugly it looks when you behave a certain way makes you never want to behave that way again ... I never want to be anything but a positive influence."
Ingraham currently hosts radio program The Laura Ingraham Show, and co-hosts The O'Reilly Factor on Fox News. Grande released her second studio album, My Everything, in August 2014, and is currently on the North American leg of her accompanying Honeymoon tour.
