Jennifer Lawrence says the Internet has "scorned so much" that she never intends to join in on the social media craze.
Lawrence, 23, addressed her lack of social media accounts while speaking to Radio 1 Breakfast Show host Nick Grimshaw following the London premier of her new film, Hunger Games: Mockingjay -- Part 1.
"I cannot really keep up with emails so the idea of Twitter is so unthinkable to me," she said. "I don't really understand what it is, it's like this weird enigma that people talk about. It's fine I respect that but no, I'll never get Twitter."
The Oscar-winning actress went on to compare the Internet with "that girl" you dislike in high school.
"Because the Internet has scorned me so much, I feel like it's that girl in high school that I'm like 'Oh you want to talk about her? Yeah I'll do that.' Take my hoops off, I'm ready to go," she joked.
Lawrence was one of the main targets of a mass photo leak in which hackers disseminated hundreds of nude and semi-nude photos illegally obtained from female celebrities' iCloud accounts in September. The actress condemned the actions as a "sex crime" in a subsequent interview with Vanity Fair.
The incident seems to have made Lawrence event more wary of social media.
"If you ever see a Facebook, Instagram or Twitter that says it's me, it most certainly is not me," she said.
