Country music star Jason Aldean took a page of out Taylor Swfit's book and removed his new album Old Boots, New Dirt from Spotify this week.
Unlike Swift -- who pulled her entire catalog from the music service and later called it "an experiment" she's not "wiling to contribute my life's work to" -- Aldean left his previous albums and singles on Spotify. The tracks from his new record, which used to be accesible on the site, are no longer available for streaming and are accompanied by a note from the company:
"The artist or their representatives have decided not to release this album on Spotify. We are working on it and hope they will change their mind soon."
Aldean released Old Boots, New Dirt, his sixth studio album, on Oct. 7. It debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and the singer announced in late October he'd be extending his promotional tour for the record, Burn It Down Tour, into 2015.
Neither the 37-year-old singer nor his team have addressed the Spotify incident since the album was pulled on Monday.
