Unemployment in Taiwan hit 70 month low in in April of 3.91 percent, 0.12 percentage points down from March, according to the island's executive authority on Thursday. In April, more than 11 million people were employed, 13,000 more than March, while 449,000 people lost their jobs, 14,000 less than March, the authority said. Statistics also show that in April, the highest unemployment rate, 12.27 percent, existed among people aged between 15 and 24, followed by people from 25 to 44, 13 percent. People who have higher education background were most likely to lose their jobs in April.
