An operations room at Qalyub city council was formed to follow up the fire which was erupted in thermal insulators factory, said Qalyubia Governor Mohamed Abdel Zaher.
Panels will also be formed from the various relevant bodies to hold the necessary investigations and assess losses, he added.
19 firetrucks have been deployed to control the fire, but failed to douse the fire completely due to the presence of flammable materials inside the factory store, he added.
All security directorates and executive bodies in the governorate rushed to the fire scene in order to deal with the situation, he said, adding that no casualties were reported.
