South Korean builder Ssangyong Engineering & Construction Co. said Tuesday it has clinched a US$57.8 million order to build condominiums in Vietnam. Under the deal with the Vietnamese unit of Keppel Land Ltd., a Singaporean real estate development firm, Ssangyong Engineering will construct three condominiums in Ho Ch Minh City, with a total of 549 rooms. The contract is part of the Riviera Point Condominium project, a total of 12 condominiums and a shopping mall to be constructed along the Ca Cam River. Ssangyong Engineering said it will take 30 months to complete the buildings. The South Korean builder also won a $47.3 million contract to build a road section in the Southeast Asian country last month.
