Qatar Project Management (QPM) said on Saturday it had won a contract to manage a huge new development on behalf of the Gulf state's security force. The contract involves building a new camp for the Internal Security Force (ISF) at Al Duhail on the outskirts of Doha. QPM will oversee the design, construction and overall project management for the development, which will cover four million sq m, the company said in a statement. The ISF project will comprise more than 330 buildings and the new camp is expected to take five years to complete. QPM did not disclose the value of the contract. QPM managing director, Dr Hassan Alfadala, said: "QPM is delighted to have secured this contract with the Internal Security Force through competitive tender process. "QPM has an international reach in its work, but is wholly committed to the National Vision that is driving Qatar forward domestically." QPM is active domestically and throughout the MENA region and provides a platform for the project management of local and international developments. Its current project include civil infrastructure, residential, hospitality, luxury, commercial, office, and tourism developments.
