Algeria and Qatar have inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the investments in the tourist real estate between the National Agency of Tourism Development (ANDT) and the Qatari Diar, Algeria Press Service reported on Monday.
The deal was signed by Minister of Tourism and Craft Industry Nouria Yamina Zerhouni and Qatari Minister of Finance Ali Sharif Al Emadi, in the presence of Algerian Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal and Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al-Thani.
The MoU will contribute to promoting partnership and cooperation between the two countries, Zerhouni told the Algerian Radio in a statement on Monday, adding that the country has promising markets that could attract foreign investors from different countries, notably Arab ones.
The Qatari Prime Minister's visit to Algeria is part of the political dialogue between the two countries at the highest level and is an opportunity to review all issues related to the development of bilateral relations in political and economic domains.
During this three-day visit, "Bellara steel complex will be launched as part of an industrial partnership between the company Sider and Qatar Steel."
