A delegation from the World Bank held talks in Amman today with officials at the Jordanian Ministry of Planning on cooperation between the two sides in the areas of investment and development. According to a press release the talks also dealt with the economic developments of the economic and financial situation in Jordan as well the strategic partnership with the bank for the years from 2011 to 2014. The bank will take the final decision on a loan worth USD 250mn to support Jordan''s budget for 2011 during the month of September. The World Bank will prepare, in cooperation with the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation, a comprehensive review of development policies during the past ten years, and propose recommendations for the next decade with a special emphasis on the balance of development through financial, industrial, employment and poverty policies, as well as programmes aimed to increase the efficiency of the National Aid Fund and specific programmes to reduce poverty during the period from 2011 to 2012.(QNA) OM
