Britain's annual inflation rate turned flat in June from the previous month on the back of falling clothing and food prices, official data showed Tuesday.
"The Consumer Prices Index (CPI) was unchanged in the year to June 2015, that is, a 12-month rate of 0.0 percent, down from 0.1 percent in the year to May," the Office for National Statistics (ONS) said in a statement.
"Falls in clothing and food prices were the main contributors to the change in the rate," it said.
In April, the CPI rate had turned negative for the first time since 1960 on the back of falling transport prices -- notably air and sea fares -- and the earlier timing of Easter, when travel tends to be more expensive.
The rate had stood at zero in both February and March before hitting minus 0.1 percent in April.
