The second edition of the UAE India Economic Forum, UIEF, is set to take place on 19th and 20th October, at Madinat Jumeirah, Dubai, the UAE Ministry of Finance and the Consulate-General of India announced.
The UIEF provides a vital platform for business leaders and government authorities to discuss key opportunities for diversifying and deepening the economic partnership between the two countries.
According to a recent report on economic and trade relations between the UAE and India, India is considered to be the UAE’s primary trade partner, accounting for about 9.8 percent of its total non-oil trade. Bilateral trade between the UAE and India has grown significantly from US$180 million in the 1970s to around $60 billion per annum now, and is predicted to reach $100 billion by 2020.
The event is hosted by the Consulate-General of India in Dubai, with strategic support from Ministry of Economy, UAE International Investors Council, Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry and Invest India.
