US stocks continued their recent rally, with the S&P 500 and Dow Jones closing at record highs.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 24.45 points, or 0.1%, to 18372.12, while the S&P 500 inched up 0.29 points, or less than 0.1%, to 2152.43. Meanwhile, the Nasdaq Composite Index fell 17.09 points, or 0.3%, to 5005.73.
In commodities, US crude-oil prices fell 4.4% to $44.75 a barrel, the lowest settlement since May 10, after data showed domestic inventories of crude oil and refined products were at a record high.
Elsewhere, the Stoxx Europe 600 fell 0.1%. Japan’s Nikkei Stock Average rose 0.8% on Wednesday.
