The volume of trade exchange between Egypt and the UAE hit $2.1 billion in 2014 compared to 1.8 billion dollars in 2013 with an increase rate of 17 percent.
Egypt's exports to the UAE amounted to 827 million dollars in 2014 versus $608 million in the past year, a report by the Egyptian commercial office in Abu Dhabi said.
The UAE, meanwhile, exported products to Egypt worth 1.7 billion dollars in 2014, the report added.
Till April, there were 171 UAE companies operating in Egypt, placing the UAE in the second ranking in terms of Arab investments in Egypt.
