The Qatar Exchange was down on Wednesday 26.11 points or 0.31% to 8,374.78 points from the previous closing of 8,400.89. The volume of shares traded up to 3,046,395 from 2,560,682 on Tuesday, and the value of shares fell to QR113, 487,164.89 from QR116, 292,044.22 Tuesday. Among the top losers were Intl. Islamic Bank whose share dropped by 0.71% to QR48.85, Barwa Real Estate lost 0.66% to QR30.00, Qatar Insurance 0.61to QR81.00,Al khalij Commercial Bank fell 0.57% to QR17.30 and Islamic Insurance was down 2.00% to QR53.90. Today the Qatar Banking and Financial sector fell 49.06 and the Insurance sector lost 43.22 points. The Qatar industrial sector dropped 9.12 points and the Services sector was down 14.25 points.
