The Lao stock market closed on Tuesday down by 4.85 percent against the previous trading day.
The Lao Securities Exchange composite index decreased by 49.08 points to 963.74. A total of 20,000 shares worth about 94 million Lao kip (about 11,642 U.S. dollars) changed hands at the stock market.
There are five companies listed at the Lao stock market. Souvanny Home Center Public Company (SVN) witnessed no trade. Petroleum Trading Lao Public Company (PTL) also saw no trade. Lao World Public Company (LWPC) had no trade. Lao commercial bank Banque Pour Le Commerce Exterieur Lao (BCEL) had no trade. Shares of state-run energy giant Electricite du Laos Generation Public Company (EDL-Gen) fell by 6.00 percent to 4,700 Lao kip (about 58 U.S. cents).
