The benchmark for the Jordanian bourse shed 1.2 points through last week's trading yet gained 2.5 percent in daily trading, according to released data of the local stock market on Friday. The benchmark dropped upon closing of the week session to 2203.8 points, compared to 2205 points the previous week, with a decrease of 1.2 percent. Daily stock volume amounted to USD 28.5 million, compared to USD 22.3 million of the previous week, gaining 2.5 percent. The weekly overall stock volume reached USD 146.7 million. The financial sector came first with 69.9 percent of the overall traded shares, the Services sector came in second with 20.5 percent, while the Industrial sector came in third with 9.6 percent. Stocks of 86 companies rose and those of 68 ones dropped.
