The FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed lower today in line with the downtrend on the cash market, dealers said. July 2011 shed 2.5 points to 1,582.5, August 2011 dwindled 0.5 points to 1,582.5, September 2011 lost 1.5 points to 1,582 and December 2011 declined 3.0 points to 1,582. Volume decreased to 3,514 lots, from 6,056 lots, on Monday while open interest increased to 24,937 contracts against 23,937 contracts previously. On the cash market, the FBM KLCI ended 0.5 of a point or 0.03 per cent to 1,581.85.
