The U.S. dollar changed hands in the lower 101 yen zone in early deals in Tokyo on Tuesday, largely in line with levels seen in New York overnight.
At 9 a.m., the dollar was quoted at 101.26-33 yen compared with 101.20-30 yen in New York and 101.07-09 yen in Tokyo on Monday at 5 p.m.
The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1181-1182 dollars and 113.21-23 yen against 1.1177-1187 dollars and 113.19-29 yen in New York and 1.1172-1174 dollars and 112.92-96 yen in late trade on Monday afternoon in Tokyo.
