The main index of Amman Stock Exchange increased 4. 9 points during the past week transactions and its daily trade also boosted, by 98.9 percent, according to weekly figures of the bourse. Benchmark for the week closing went up at 1,912.1 points, compared to 1,907. 2 points of the previous week. As to sectors, the main index of the financial sector increased 0.18 percent; services sector 0.91 percent; and industrial sector 0.62 percent. Volume of daily trading amounted to approximately USD 14.5 million, compared to USD 7.3 million the week before, up 98.9 percent. Volume of trade of the week jumped to USD 72.7 million, vis-@-vis USD 36.5 million the week before. Number of traded shares reached 115.7 million, done through 16,914 deals. As to sectors' contributions in volume of trade, the financial sector came first with 51.6 percent of the overall trade, followed by the services, 30.5 percent, and industries, 17.9 percent. Comparing closing prices of the traded companies, amounting to 188, with the previous closing, stock price of 76 ones dropped and those of 59 others rose.
