Chairman of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) Mohamed Khodeir on Tuesday inaugurated a new detergents factory of the global Unilever company in the industrial zone in the 6th of October City at total investment costs of 192 million pounds.
In press statements after the inauguration ceremony, he indicated that this project attests to the fact that the Egyptian market will remain one of the most important emerging markets that can attract local and international investments.
The factory is the biggest for the company in the Middle East. It will export up to 120,000 tons of its products to other countries including Kenya, Ethiopia and Arab Gulf countries.
