Arabian Business Magazine, a weekly publication focusing on the business community, honored the Company for Cooperative Insurance (Tawuniya) as the Best Insurance Company for 2016, at an event held in Riyadh on Nov. 8.
The event, organized by Arabian Business, was attended by government officials, CEOs and top executives from both the public and private sectors in Saudi Arabia.
Tawuniya’s Marketing GM Majid A. Al-Bahiti received the award in the form of a trophy from Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi, president of the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI).
The Arabian Business award recognized Tawuniya for its outstanding performance and achievements. Tawunia has thus emerged as the best provider in the Saudi insurance industry.
It also strengthens Tawuniya’s position as the leader of the insurance market, where the company has a lot of competitive advantages in terms of innovative products, financial solvency, long-term expertise, diverse insurance portfolio, high quality services and qualified personnel.
Al-Bahiti said: “Customer trust has played a key role in Tawuniya winning the Best Insurance Company Award. We have always lived up to the trust our customers have put in us with initiatives in our customer centricity strategy. As part of our long-term vision, we always focus on innovating and improving insurance products to meet the customer needs within the three key operating segments — medical, motor, and property and casualty.
Tawuniya is also proud to provide a number of insurance products to protect small and medium-sized enterprises and to support this vital sector in increasing its contribution in Saudi GDP to 25 percent within five years, according to the National Transformation Program (NTP 2020).”
“With an experience of more than 30 years, Tawuniya proves it can run the insurance business with all the related risks efficiently and effectively, and we always seek to develop the insurance services level in Saudi Arabia, promote the insurance culture, and provide protection for economic and social interests,” Al-Bahiti added.
Moreover, Tawuniya recently launched a number of value-added services and initiatives that meet the customer’s changing needs. These include activating smart insurance concept and establishing the first Saudi insurance e-store on Tawuniya’s portal that allows customers to purchase insurance policies through the high-tech communication tools.
