Sony recently celebrated its 47th year in Saudi Arabia and its chief representative Nobuo Kinoshita spoke on the occasion.
“Sony was established in December of 1946 in Tokyo, which was 71 years ago. Our business history is not so long, but we have grown up with a lot of unique, and innovative products. 24 years after Sony was established in Tokyo, we launched Sony in KSA in 1970. We partnered with Modern Electronics, a subsidiary of the Al Faisaliah Group, 47 years ago.”

But let me proudly highlight to you all today that we are one of the longest-serving companies in the electronics industry in Saudi Arabia dealing with a premium Japanese brand. I would like to take this opportunity to give thanks again to the Saudi end-user and its continued support to Sony. Let us promise you that we will continue giving the highest quality service to the Saudi market.”
