Lulu Hypermarket has announced the start of its food festival, the Food Expo 2017.
The 14-day festival, held across all Lulu Hypermarkets in the Kingdom, was inaugurated on Sunday in Riyadh by Raj Kalesh, a cookery show anchor and magician. He presented a cooking-cum-entertainment show “Fun with Raj Kalesh” as part of the inaugural ceremony.
“LuLu once again has transformed into a truly international culinary destination. This year we are ensuring your satisfaction with our endless tempting dishes from around the world. The festival celebrates the innovative spirit of our culinary talents and chefs. All foodies who are looking for something extra are invited to the world of food,” Lulu Hypermarket management said in a statement. The festival includes several special offers and activities such as live cooking demonstrations, free sampling, quiz competitions, and exhibitions.
Food cuisines from the Middle East, Europe, China, Thailand, Mexico, Philippines and South Asia will be on display.
“Visitors can interact with celebrity chefs throughout the festival and be part of live cooking demonstrations. Tomato week, berry week, fish fest, meat fest, product of the day, daily surprises and hourly offers are among the festival attractions,” the management added.
A number of competitions and raffle draws have been planned with prizes including gold coins, Samsung smart phones and gift vouchers.
“With the support of our strategic partner Parachute and other suppliers, we are providing many attractive discounts in all departments during the festival season,” the management said.
LuLu’s half payback offer is running during the current season with the opportunity to get back gift vouchers each valued at SR100 on purchasing garments or footwear of major brands worth SR200. This promotion ends on April 20.
The food festival also presents an opportunity for the whole family to join in a fun meal. “The festival will be so much fun where we can gather with friends and family for a great food and fun experience,” a LuLu management executive said.
