Fakieh Leisure and Entertainment Group sponsored the ongoing Jeddah International Book Fair 2016, which is being held under the patronage of Makkah Gov. Prince Khaled Al-Faisal from Dec.15-25 at Jeddah’s Obhur district.
Jamil Attar, executive director of Fakieh Leisure and Entertainment Group, expressed his pride at sponsoring this major annual event, noting that it embodies the ambitious efforts of the wise leadership to restore the status of books in general and in all their traditional and digital forms, as well as promoting reading as it is one of the most important means of learning.
Attar stated that, “Reading is life and the support of our group for Jeddah Book Fair comes in the framework of our keenness to raise awareness of the importance of reading. Reading allows us to learn more about ourselves, refine our capabilities, and learn about the world around us, which will have a greater impact on increasing community adherence to values, while always looking forward to learning, development and progress.”
Attar also said: “The Jeddah International Book Fair is one of the most important fairs for writers, authors and publishing houses in the Arab region. It witnesses a large turnout of knowledge and inspiration seekers as well as those aspiring to find what delights them and brings them happiness and hope. This is an integral part of the vision that Fakieh Leisure and Entertainment Group seeks to achieve.”
