Danfoss, a leading manufacturer of high-efficiency electronic and mechanical components and controls for air-conditioning, heating, refrigeration, industrial and water systems, has announced the launch of its first technical support office in the Kingdom.
At an event held at Sofitel Jeddah Corniche, Danfoss senior executives from Dubai welcomed Mazen Batterjee, vice chairman of Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI), and Mutlaq Al-Tayyari, general manager, SASO Makkah branch, as well as Ole Frijis-Madsen, Denmark’s ambassador to Saudi Arabia.
Serving clients in the Kingdom for over 50 years through distributers and agents, Danfoss is now expanding its presence in the region through investing in an office that will provide technical support on the ground and will be delivered to the company’s international standard.
“To be further investing in expanding our footprint in the Middle East is a very exciting time for us at Danfoss,” said Levent Taskin, president of Danfoss, Turkey, Middle East and Africa region.
“Saudi Arabia is a key market and having an official presence in the region will not only further cement our position as a market leader, but will also provide our clients with the unparalleled customer service and technical support that Danfoss proudly delivers through a local office. We are also firmly committed to supporting Saudi Arabia to reach its Vision 2030 through providing the most innovative and sustainable solutions for the cooling, heating and industrial sectors.”
Danfoss has been working on many projects in Saudi Arabia, including airports, seaports, hospitals and financial districts to increase the energy efficiency of the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) sector, as well as refrigeration and other industrial systems.
Frijis-Madsen, Denmark’s ambassador, said: “Danish companies will be close partners in the implementation of the ambitious and timely Vision 2030 which the Saudi leadership wisely introduced last year.
“Denmark is known for its quality, reliability, innovation, design and customer focus. Danfoss is one of the companies that reflect all of these unique qualities as a truly global organization with proud Danish roots. The opening of Danfoss’ office in Jeddah is a clear and very timely signal about the company’s continued commitment to Saudi Arabia.”
