ADNOC Distribution has opened the Umm Al Qaiwain Marine Service Station located at the fishing port in the emirate, in implementation of the initiatives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, put in place to promote better living conditions for residents and citizens of the UAE and accelerate progress to achieve sustainable development.
The opening ceremony of the new service station was attended by Saeed Mubarak Al Rashidi, Acting Chief Executive Officer of ADNOC Distribution, and a group of senior management members of the company.
Similar to other ADNOC Distribution service stations that are equipped with smart technologies, the new service station caters to the needs of fishermen, boat owners and motorists. It includes three islands, two of which are maritime and one on land. Through four pumps, the station offers a number of fuel choices such as E-Plus 91, Special 95 and Green Diesel. Commenting on the opening of the new service station, Saeed Mubarak Al Rashidi said, "At ADNOC Distribution, we consider the directives and initiatives of our wise leadership to be a top priority. We work on implementing these initiatives through our commitment to raising the quality of our services and to geographically expand across the UAE to reach all segments of the community. We are also devoted to contributing to the development of the UAE’s infrastructure."
Al Rashidi added, "The opening of Umm Al Qaiwain Marine service station reflects ADNOC Distribution’s growth strategy as well as its vision to keep up with the economic and urban growth that is sweeping the UAE. The expansion will also help us meet the demand for ADNOC Distribution’s services and products as we aim to raise the number of service stations to more than 450 by 2017."
ADNOC Distribution has provided the Umm Al Qaiwain Marine Service Station with all facilities needed to serve customers, from boat owners to motorists. The station offers a range of petroleum products and services that are accessible 24-hours a day. It is also hosts an ADNOC Oasis store.
The Umm Al Qaiwain Marine Service Station is the newest addition to ADNOC Distribution’s network of facilities in the UAE. The station is dedicated to providing fuel to fishermen and boat owners, and is equipped with flood lights to provide the best service at night.
The station also features a fire-resistant design and incorporates special equipment to fight any fire, and has been provided with floating sea barriers and corridors for safety as required by the health, environment and safety certified professional standards. ADNOC Distribution is keen to provide the station with a shaded break room to enable fishermen and boat owners to rest while fueling their boats.
Following the opening of Kaber Service Station in Umm Al Qaiwain in early May, ADNOC Distribution is currently working on the completion of Al Haditha Service Station in Al Hamra area and the Al Mahthab Service Station in Al Mahthab. The construction of the stations come as a result of ADNOC Distribution’s studies to identify citizen needs and growing demand for its services in a time of the UAE’s unprecedented economic and urban development.
