As many as 28 Indian companies are taking part in 49th session of the Cairo International Fair after a five-year hiatus.
The 10-day fair kicked off on Wednesday.
Prime Minister Sherif Ismail, Trade and Industry Minister Tarek Qabil and Investment Minsiter Ashraf Salman were received by Indian Ambassador to Egypt Sanjay Bhattacharyya at the Indian pavilion.
The pavilion included a number of handmade leather products, silver accessories and clothes.
During the inspection tour in the pavilion, the Indian ambassador reviewed handmade industry's role in reducing unemployment in India as well as increasing foreign currency as well as empowering women and developing the Indian society.
Meanwhile, Ismail urged India exhibitors to exchange investments with their Egyptian counterparts.
India is the fair's guest of honor this year.
