The Company for Cooperative Insurance (Tawuniya) garnered international recognition in 2016 for winning six regional and global awards and rankings.
This recognition reaffirms Tawuniya’s competence and leadership within the Saudi insurance market for the past 30 years. These achievements come in parallel with the financial results approved by Tawuniya’s board of directors. The company’s total written premiums exceeds SR8 billion ($2.1 billion), making it the highest in the Saudi insurance industry’s market share in 2016.
The prestigious awards and rankings Tawuniya has received from regional and global organizations in 2016 include: “The Highest Rated Saudi Insurance Company” by S & P, the number one insurance company as listed in Al-Eqtisadiah newspaper’s “Top 100 Saudi Companies,” “The Most Innovative Insurance Company” award by the International Finance Magazine, one of the listed “Top 100 Arab Companies” of Forbes magazine, “The Best Insurance Company” award by Arabian Business magazine, and the selection of Tawuniya’s CEO among the “Top 100 CEOs in the Arab World,” according to TRENDS magazine.
Majed Al-Bahiti, Tawuniya’s general manager for marketing, said: “The excellent performance of Tawuniya in 2016 reflects the company’s continuos efforts toward providing the best products and services to its customers, which meets their needs and aspirations and then boosts their confidence.”
