Six containers of imitation goods worth KD 500,000 from China seized

Customs officials at the Shuwaikh Port recently foiled an attempt by an unidentified company to smuggle into the country six containers of imitation goods from China with an estimated value of KD 500,000, reports Al Shahed daily.
The daily added, the containers were intercepted when they were on their way to the company stores. A source said customs officials became suspicious of the shipment which had arrived in the country about a month ago and none had made any attempt to receive the goods. When the containers were opened the officers found counterfeit branded clothes, bags and shoes.
