HE Ambassador of the Republic of Kenya to Qatar Galma Mukhe Boru stressed the importance of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani's visit to his country on Tuesday as part of His Highness African tour, saying that this is an important opportunity to develop relations between the two countries and support areas of cooperation in all fields.
In a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA), HE the Kenya Ambassador said that the government and people of Kenya welcome the visit of HH the Emir to their country, considering it as an important visit to strengthen the relations of cooperation between the two countries in all fields and push economic relations towards wider prospects.
This important visit represents a great opportunity to discuss many political and economic issues and to sign and activate cooperation agreements between the two countries, which include energy, infrastructure, telecommunications, agriculture, mining, education, education and higher education, culture and other important sectors for the benefit of both countries, he added.
The Ambassador affirmed the interest and keenness of the Republic of Kenya to open the way for Qatari businessmen and investors to establish vital projects in his country. Therefore, he said, HH the Emir's visit to Nairobi will constitute a strong impetus in this direction, especially as the Kenyan government will facilitate the procedures of Qatari investments in Kenya.
He also said that the bilateral talks between the two countries' leaders on the political side will be important and will review areas of security and coordination of positions on various regional and international issues, noting to the consensus between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Kenya on various international and regional issues.
In this context, HE the Kenyan Ambassador praised the friendly relations and cooperation between Qatar and Kenya, saying that the two countries have strong historical ties and there is a desire to promote and develop these common relations.
