The Parliament Energy and Mining Committee on Tuesday received a group of foreign experts specialized in mining, to brief them on the supervision and legislative role of the council as well as the legislations related to mining and social responsivity and environmental protection.
The committee headed by Dr. Haiat Ahmed Al Mahi, reviewed in details with the visiting experts the social responsibilities and the legislations ratified to facilitate and make easy the investment procedures and laws in the country.
The two sides also discussed the traditional mining in the Sudan and the experience of some African countries in the areas of mining and how the introduction of the mining number has streamlines the local standards to international standards
The experts have underlined their support for the committee and its endeavors to better the legislative and supervisory work vis-a-vis mining.
