Minister of Electricity and Water Affairs Dr. Abdulhussain Mirza received a delegation from Watership Down International, led by Chief Operating Officer Barrington Ward and accompanied by GRS Middle East Managing Director Rob Cable, Bahrain British Businessmen Forum Vice Chairperson Paula Boast and a representative of the British Embassy.
The minister was briefed on the company's activities in the field of converting waste into energy. The delegation requested the minister to take part in the development projects implemented by the Electricity and Water Authority, especially those related to the technology of transforming waste to energy, in cooperation with British companies.
The delegation thanked the minister and officials of the Electricity and Water Authority for the welcome and hospitality as well as the support enjoyed by investors in the electricity and water sector.
Executive Director of the Sustainable Energy Unit Jehan Al Murbati and Advisor to the Minister Dr. Ahmed Hashem Hashem, were present.
