The 12th Airport Council International (ACI) Asia Pacific Regional Assembly, Conference and Exhibition hosted by Hamad International Airport (HIA) in Doha concluded.
Among the key themes discussed were the role of airports as corporate responsible citizens within their societies, the latest technological innovations and their positive impact on passenger experience, airport security and the expansion of the scope of the non-aeronautical activities especially when developing airport cities Airport CEOs expressed their optimism about the traffic growth for 2017 and airports delivering strong results, with a direct positive economic and social impact on the local and world economies.
Several prestigious aviation award ceremonies took place during the event, including the Green Airports Recognition and ACI’s Airport Carbon Accreditation Awards.
The event concluded with a handover ceremony during which HIA’s representative officially handed over the hosting responsibilities to Narita International Airport, which will be the host airport of the 13th ACI Asia Pacific Regional Assembly in Tokyo, Japan.
Vice President of Commercial and Marketing of Hamad International Airport, Abdul-Aziz Al Mass considered ACI Asia Pacific Regional Assembly, an important platform to discuss the future of aviation.
